List Of Judges That Have Been Arrested By DSS Over Allegations Of Corruption

Following a string of operations carried out on Friday and Saturday, the Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested 7 Nigerian Judges for their alleged involvement in corruption and fraud.
The DSS revealed that a total of 15 Judges are currently under investigation over allegation of corruption. 7 of the Judges have been arrested while three court registry staff were also invited.
The 7 Judges that have so far, been apprehended are:
1.) Sylvester Ngwuta – Supreme court Judge
2.) Inyang Okoro – Supreme Court Judge
3.) Justice Mohammed Tsamiya – suspended Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division
4.) Justice Kabiru Auta – Kano State High Court
5.) Justice Adeniyi Ademola – Federal High Court, Abuja.
6.) Justice I. A. Umezulike – Former Chief Judge of Enugu state
7.) Muazu Pindiga – Federal High Court, Gombe Division.

Tight security as Abia council polls hold today

The Commissioner of Police in Abia State, Mr. Adeleye Oyebade, has said the State Police command will provide adequate security across the seventeen local government areas of the State to ensure a smooth conduct of the local government election today. He stated that the Nigerian constitution guarantees that there must be adequate security during elections at the local councils because the people at the grassroots were involved. Investors stranded as MMM reopens

Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox, a Ponzi scheme known simply as MMM, on Friday opened for business after one month of break, but investors in the scheme have remained stranded as they still cannot access their funds. MMM had announced the resumption on its Twitter handle, saying it was “now open” even though it had initially promised to reopen today, Saturday, January 14. In the message, the scheme’s founder, Sergey Mavrodi, said because of the likely deluge of requests from participants, payments would be gradual and have limits.
